Have a merry Christmas!!

Youngsun, Hyunjung and Indie gathered together celebrating Christmas with yummy food and bubbly.
Here is the menu served,
Entree: Tiger king Prawns, Green beans, Snow peas & Radish salad
Main: Roast chicken with roasted potatoes and carrots, Spinach & Beetroots salad
Dessert: Christmas pudding with berry mix & vanilla ice-cream.
We washed down well with bubbly and Moscato which was the winner!

So we had coffee today...

Since Sunggee had to leave earlier at the barbeque the other day and couldn't quite join the conversation about the up-coming exhibition at Sydney, we had a 2hours' coffee date at NGV coffee shop for further discussion today. He showed what he was doing for the exhibition, which was quite interesting, and especially for me, the jewellery box he made with Korean paper was impressive.

Here, I hope this is not becoming my third blog so that I am not the only creature to post things and wish at least one person a week to join with me to talk about what we are making and how we are becoming mature artist or designer or whatever.

The images I attached below are all the forms and materials I am experimenting at the moment for the exhibition we are planning for. I don't know how they form one exquisite piece of work but hopefully they can grow up with beautiful soul and body, which tells my story of immigration.

"Congratulations to our Ten Years of Dedication award recipients

Thanks to all those who could make it to our artist drinks on Tuesday night.
It was really lovely to see everyone and amazing to realise there were
some faces there who have been every year for the last 12 years! And just
as fantastic to be introducing and welcoming the newcomers! It was a hot
steamy night and many bottles of sparkling Chandon were readily consumed....

This year I particularly wanted to thank and celebrate Katherine Bowman,
Jennifer Martin and Joungmee Do who have been a part of e.g.etal for 10
years. They of course receive the Ten Years of Dedication award - which
includes a certificate especially designed by LangdonLorraine, a bottle of
Moet Chandon and a dinner for 4 at either Movida, The Italian or Coda. And
that's because we really believe 10 years is worth celebrating!!

Wishing you a relaxing and festive break with friends and family, (I will be 
smashing a pink pinata with mine! See the blog...)

Gold crown of the Silla Dynasty

Referred to as a “Nation of Gold” by its neighbours, Korea is a country with an extraordinary history in gold craftmanship. Of the ten pure gold crowns from ancient times, eight are from Korea, and are unparalleled in their unique and exquisite artistry. The Sarira Casket, a masterpiece of Buddhist art, is similarly without equal and is widely noted for its intricate gold granule ornaments, which are invisible to the human eye at less than 0.3mm in diameter, and impossible for modern artisans to reproduce even with today’s technology.

While it is best to aim to be there at the screening times stated above, there will be ad-hoc screenings, so please visit if you can.
